    I worked at Adobe

    Pros

Company is seeking for the new areas to grow, so this is great time for engineers and researchers to get good working experience. Company is open for new ideas and appreciates those who provides those. Work politics is absent.

    Cons

Work quality is dependent on team (although I was fortunate to get into the good one). Many products in India are known to be in maintenance mode, and not good to work for freshers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Looking towards both US and indian managements, US managers looked to be more involved with employees and more eager to work on new ideas and products. Indian mgmt team can be more open for new products.

I have been working at Adobe full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Was a really good company to work for in Sales
    - Amazing products, good work culture, open dynamic and no politics
    -Cared about its employees.
-HR used to be strong now just a rubber stamp especially in India.

    Cons

-Horrible now specially in sales in India.
    - Its a systemic cleansing of the entire team replaced by new jokers without any clue of business or human emotions
    - In India Sales you have to be a boot licker to progress,. You are targeted just because you have been in the system for long
    - If you are old then you don't know how to work is the general thinking
    - HR is a mute spectator and HR guys are invited to sales parties and gifted expensive wines
    - This all even when most of the big deals are driven and closed by the older sales managers.
    - Its sad what has happened in Adobe India in Sales and they will never be the same company that they were.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Have a look at how and who is delivering the goods?
    - Grow some backbone and call a spade a spade
    - Change the HR leadership in India, they are funny to say the least and are corrupt.

I worked at Adobe full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Free food in the canteen is great. Pay and benefits are ok. That is all that is good about this company.

    Cons

They have absolutely NO idea of how to value employee skills and how to utilize those skills for the benefit of the company. Politics rules in this company.

If you are a boot licker, you get promoted... If you are straight forward, you cannot survive.

Work environment is terrible.. I think slaves were better treated... Work pressure is far too high and just causes health issues. Constructive criticism is NOT tolerated. Each manager cannot think beyond their own narrow minded teams for the benefit of the organization as a whole.

Quality of products leave a LOT to be desired... Terrible security reviews of their products - Flash is a classic example. I am not surprised they recently got hacked... It was a disaster waiting to happen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to respect peoples skills. Learn to think beyond each team and learn how to utilize skills and resources for the betterment of the products and the company.

It is one of the software giants and a lot of innovation takes place at Adobe.

Treatment of potential employees is rather pathetic...If you want to work for a company that cares about its employees, don't think about Adobe.
