I have been working at Air Jamaica

ProsThe flight benefits. Better than most other airlines for full time employees. This might not be worth it though because it is now possible to get good fares on the internet and you might end up paying more to be on stand-by than you would to travel as a revenue passenger.

ConsImpossible to have an outside life. Staff levels are permanently inadequate. Delays are an everyday occurrence. It really is sad. When a chairperson can order an aircraft back to the gate for a late passenger, incur costs and not lose her job, it makes you wonder. The "business" is operated like a Jamaican "patty shop".

Advice to Senior ManagementGet competent people to manage the airline and remove the political interference.
