    Pros

Ability to work with customers in driving sales

    Cons

Unresponsive and out of touch upper management philosophy and supervision. Does not look at core products and operations but more on the "fluff". (pretty showrooms and virtual samples)

    Advice to Management

Go back to basics in producing a good product on time for a fair price. Look at your operations and not show rooms.

  3. Today, very cl-icky and European facing. Have to be in with today's leaders with little regard to work history.

    Pros

Good Global reach with lots of products for their market.

    Cons

Very long development lead times and very high prices. Little product knowledge and no upper management support .

    Advice to Management

Instead of trying to be something the company is not (trends and design leaders) focus on Operations and Product quality and price.

    Pros

You will have a job but there is not much growth taking place as they have lost considerable market share in the PS market.

    Cons

Very difficult to advance or develop your career unless you are part of the "good ole boys" network or have family in positions of authority in the company. There is a large effort to hire only local talent right out of college in order to keep salaries low. Work/life balance is non-existent if you are in operations. Managers send out emails regularly at 4 and 5 AM. Be prepared to work long hours and Saturdays if you are a Process Engineer or in Maintenance.

    Pros

The friendships are the best asset of the company.

    Cons

Right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. No promise of promotions. We had to take a cut in raises and yet Upper Management is in Hawaii?

    Advice to Management

Management is too top heavy. Please review your policies because they will end up causing more problems in the future.

    Pros

Good Pay and benefits. Most management is competent.easy to move around in to diversify your talents. great diversity in work force

    Cons

They use and abuse their employees. After 29 years and 8 months they decided that they no longer need my services. i rarely called in sick was never late. They seem to target older employees for termination in order to bring in younger lower paid people. There is no loyalty to the employees anymore. Stan Avery would roll over in his grave if he knew that. He was all about keeping you until you retired.

    Advice to Management

Respect your older experienced employees keep them employed until retirement. Stop throwing them to the wolves at a time when it is hardest for them to recover.

Good pay and annual increases, slightly less than market price.

    Cons

Upper level management has no focus, do not have the potential of growing, very discouraging.

Cut down on director and manager Travel to Europe focus on internal growth and infrastructure, stop hiring friends and family give opportunity to existing employees to grow.
