    Pros

    Good people work there. It's the kind of job you leave at the door when you walk out every evening - so it's good for people looking for something they don't have to think about.

    Cons

    Very little room for advancement within the company, and not-so-great starting salary with slight increases over the years.

    Advice to Management

    Fix the revolving door of employees by offering better prospects to those coming in - room for growth, and better wages and benefits. Also, I feel as though the canteen would be better if it was operated by an independent business, rather than a huge chain. It would probably DO better too, as people would feel better spending money with them.

    There is a Canteen on site.

    Pros

    Interesting work and gained huge experience in the area of my expertise. Met some lovely people who just wanted the job done the right way.

    Cons

    Management not interested in real change; No real strategy that I could see and all decisions were made on the basis of what management wanted, not what was right for the Company; in fact line management never communicated with the department and never met face to face.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of your ivory towers and go and meet the staff. Encourage them to be open and honest about what needs to change. Otherwise the Bank will languish in mediocrity.

    Pros

    Some nice people, well known around Ireland and UK. Getting better at listening to staff.

    Cons

    Low pay, expected too much for what we are able to do. Massively under staffed.Not much scope for career progression or development unless you want to be a manager. Outdated systems which affects both staff and customers. Management pat each other on the back while the lower staff do all the hard work.

    Advice to Management

    Recognise the hard workers more, they take the brunt of the complaints from customers and public.

    Pros

    Positive atmosphere, household name in the domestic market and well known to a degree in other Anglophone markets, very positive graduate remuneration, encouragement towards further training.

    Cons

    IT setup can be a bit disjointed, not a major player in the international finance scene.
