    Pros

The store itself was nice and big and very clean, it has an excellent coupon program for cutomers, management makes sure you fully understand your job duties and are very nice about offering help

    Cons

Managers were pervy but that's obviously not the case everywhere, but they definitely let customers be mean to you and don't stand up for their employees at this company the customer is always right, even when they are wrong its even store policy to never say no.

    Advice to Management

I think the only thing wrong is letting customers get away with being mean and hurtful. I feel like management should be allowed to step in and correct disrespectful people, its embarrassing and makes you not wanna come to work when you don't feel safe when customers belittle you.

    Pros

Clear cut performance expectations. Quality product and customer service training plans. Pretty good work/life balance (much better than Kmart, Walmart, Target). Good opportunities to move forward. Education is not the tell all in this company, plenty of people without college degrees who are very successful. I started in receiving and now run a store.

    Cons

Raises are tough acquire beyond a basic 2%, yet exec's in New Jersey continue to bring home their million dollar bonuses and stock incentives. Staffing in the stores has become very slim, do more with less.

    Advice to Management

Remember the company associates are who make the business successful. Reward them at all levels in the store. Pay is not the most important factor in job happiness but it's in the top few reasons. Remember that "thank you" and "good job" goes a long way in making associates happy. It's time to review your benefits package as a company and bring in quality health insurance, short-term and long-term disability, paid maternity/paternity leave.

    Pros

Very busy and successful business. Offers non-stop training and learning of both products available in the store as well as career training. Teaches you a lot about customer service.

    Cons

Very high expectations with limited time/payroll to assist in completing expectations.

    Advice to Management

More employees in the store, means more people available to assist customers in the store, which means making more sales every day.

    Pros

I work with many great managers who are willing to teach me more than whats required to help further my goal of working in retail management after college.

    Cons

Hours usually cap around 25 which can be frustrating, especially if you do enjoy working there and would like to be more involved.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Overall best work place if it is a first job. If not is still great, all managers are very helpful, training process is broken down to the core and will in fact have you company ready.

    Cons

There isn't really any downside, I can only say that there isn't any starting set schedules unless you are attending school.

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

20% discount, amazing coworkers, flexible hours, training to provide product knowledge

    Cons

No room for advancement, small raises. Associates often asked to do work outside of job description without compensation

    Advice to Management

Treat hardworking employees with respect. If you've got someone good- make sure it is recognized. Plan better for incoming freight so it doesn't all fall on the night crew
