I have been working at Buck Institute full-time

    Pros

Good commute for people living in the North Bay

    Cons

No pay increases in 5 + years, although the majority of support staff has been laid off and now the remaining group is expected to do the jobs of 4-5 other personnel. Benefits are lacking to non-existent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the top three people in positions of power and replace it with a whole new group. Try thanking the people who are now forced to do the jobs of many once in awhile. There is zero moral or loyalty among the employees, try to improve that. Do something before this entire place implodes, the reputation of the institute within the scientific community is already ruined.

    I worked at Buck Institute

    Pros

A beautiful campus with lots of great opportunities to learn more about research in aging. The Buck Institute has several different labs that collaborate with each other to find new innovations in aging. Definitely would recommend this place for anyone trying to gain experience in research or lab experience in general.

    Cons

Poor communication between senior management and the rest of their employees.
