I worked at Burger King part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Co-workers were fun. I got to see a lot of faces every day as customers came. I'm a social person so this was also very enjoyable.

    Cons

I can't think of any. Maybe a few rude customers but overall great experience. Had to clean the bathroom a few times. When refilling the ice machine, it was pretty cold getting all the ice.

    I worked at Burger King

    Pros

Easy, if your willing to do the work. Fun atmosphere. Can be even better with entertaining coworkers and managers. Willing to promote from within.

    Cons

The grease is still undery fingernails I think... (Three years later) Its sometimes difficult to clean the place up to snuff when others don't care so much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management had a good attitude towards employees. Keep up the positive reinforcement!

I worked at Burger King full-time

    Pros

great people who are easy to work with. Years of many lessons learned about industry will help at other jobs. Met a lot of managers who were great to work for and always helping learn.

    Cons

Its fast food. Terrible customers who expect more than what theyre paying for. Facilities werent always up to standards. A lot of competition so the store was not as busy as it could have been. A lot of employee turnover as well which didnt help.

I have been working at Burger King full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Don't need experience for crew member. Good summer job for college or high school students. Manager was flexible with scheduling to accommodate my other internship during summer.

    Cons

Expects too much customer service and work for a minimum wage job. Scheduling is all over the place. You could be working till 11pm one day then the next start at 8am. 10 minute breaks aren't paid unless it's exactly 10 mins clocked in and clocked out, which means if you clocked in 1 min. before or after 10 mins, it's not paid. Break room reminds me of a jail cell, no windows, small plastic table with wooden chairs and a broken mirror. No benefits for me as this was just a summer job, but I don't expect the benefits to better for the cooks anyway. Worst, I worked at high volume tourist restaurant and we weren't allowed to have a tip jar?!
