I have been working at Burger King part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I've realized I rather have a minor job earning my cash than to have things handed to me by my parents. Working and dealing with rude and friendly customers show and prove to me that in any situation you have to be the bigger person and not let things bother you and to kill people with kindness. Everyone has their bad days just as much as they have their good ones. So in any situation it should not take a negative toll in my life because I may not see or deal with that person again and if I do I will always remain calm and cool because they do not and will not take advantage or get to my emotions as hard as they will try to. I also realize team work is key, and sometimes you also have to carry and hold your own weight up at the same time because some coworkers will not help you out if they do not need nor want to. I also learned to multi task and finish work right on schedule when it needed to be completed.

    Cons

From the corporates eyes dealing with customers is no hard work; dealing with all the negativity, being rushed, trying our best to multitask, having to handle our own work when it gets extremely busy; is just a piece of cake. We (customer service and cashiers) do not get recognized as we should for handling ourselves and each situation properly and professionally because corporate does not deal with everyday situations and customers as myself and my coworkers do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotions, raises, and effort should be recognized, shown, and given to each employee who has earned and worked for it. Bonuses should be offered and added to paychecks when reaching certain and different standards.
