I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great working environment where people mean serious business. All employees are very cooperative and skilled, which helps an employee to grow. Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend who wants a defined growth in his/her career.

    Cons

Frankly speaking, I don't find any downside working here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Already doing a good job and expect to keep maintaining that. Just try to look into the employee policies.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work environment, very flexible with scheduling, good training program.

    Cons

Lots of paper work that get in your way of being able to spend quality time on the sales floor. You work with very small teams for your shift, usually just you and a cashier.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working as a shift supervisor was a decent job to get me through college. The hours were flexible to work around my schedule. If you have a decent manager, the training is great and you won't be thrown into something you aren't ready for.

    Cons

Sometimes you may have more to do then possible because the hours are often few and far between so sometimes the crew is shorthanded. The pay is usually minimum wage, and the promotions and raises are once yearly. I can't imagine working there for life, but it was a good first job!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The store needs to have enough hours to run it! You can't imagine that we can get the amount of stuff done with the amount of time given.

    Flexible schedule, employee discount

    Cons

Stressful and never really trained properly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We are not all capable of doing it all. No more pcq calls and better communication among employees.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I was able to start and build a career with CVS. I started as a clerk in high school and left eight years later as a store manager. I was part of the old school customer service focused CVS.

    Cons

CVS became all about the mighty dollar. They treat their customers and employees like crap now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-focus on what made CVS into CVS.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The store really did feel like a family. My co-workers worked well as a team when necessary. My manager started me out at $8.50 and I ended at $9.50 when I left after two years.

    Cons

The corporate employees I came in contact with seemed pretty ignorant of what it was like to deal with customers and carry out our jobs in-store. They seemed to only care about sales and numbers in the stores not about the retail employees themselves. Many of my supervisors and managers had worked there for 5-10 years and had been passed over for internal promotions time after time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand the daily work lives of your employees and consider them when making decisions about what goes on in the stores.

    Pros

You get to be in retail, but truly have a connection to helping the patient....feels different than shluping groceries or just ringing out electronics all day. All in all -- we are all there for the end user --- the patient. hoping we all help someone.

    Cons

CRAZY lack of payroll in stores. Never ever can get the list done...which IS retail, but this is the skinniest payroll structure I have ever heard of. Concern -- misfill? How can my rph be stressfree enough to make a correct decision? Of course they do, because they are accustomed...but...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop cutting payroll. pay higher to get quality.
