I worked at Citi full-time for less than a year
Pros – Package, if you want it - go for it
Cons – 1. They will tell you it's a development role while interviewing, while once you are inside they will give you production support
2. They will make you work in shift, while avoiding calling it shift job
3. They call it a captive and CoE, while the senior management thinks of it as a support center
4. Main work in US, only support functions are coming to India
5. Work - Life balance - Non-Existent
6. Indian HR is under the US manager. They have no voice
7. Very confused about if they are a product organization or a service organization
8. Employee satisfaction - NIL
9. Employee support - NIL
10. Employee care - NIL
Advice to Senior Management – Stop making people think you are a development center and duping people to join it. Instead share the actual work you do, so that people are not blinded by the package only.
Tell them that you don't believe in work-life balance and it will make future employees chose you wisely.

I worked at Citi full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Citi is an equaliser. Consistency, perseverance, and hard work is rewarded. The company achieves a good balance between pushing performance vs pushing over employees to insanity levels.
Management is top notch.
Cons – Fluff is still around. Citi like aig always put bodies and focused less on efficiencies. Mgmt has woken up and concrete efforts being made to make it a lean, mean org.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop diluting title rewards, focus more on management directors to be hands on rather than hands off.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
