    Great place to work!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Mumbai

    ProsCaring employer
    Equal opportunities
usually very objective assessment of individual's performance & acknowledges unique contributions
    Adequate work life balance

    ConsLinear growth paths
    Change Management prowess
Employee benefits could be better, benchmarked with peers

Advice to Senior ManagementExcellent professional yet caring working environment, with plethora of opportunities

Local leadership team needs to come across as more visionary & lead the subsidary business as a strong independent unit, with its own thinking, its own growth plan, playing aggressively on local strengths, & contributing to division & global more completely than just $s in profit.

Not so good once you come on the inside

Sales and Marketing (Current Employee) Mumbai

ProsProcesses are good, some of the senior management is really good, respect for employees, intolerance for bad behaviour especially towards women

ConsNo clarity on career prospects, very little freedom to work, too much centralised, worked with a lot of micro managers, afraid to take hard decisions

Advice to Senior ManagementWhile the systems are in place and the company enjoys a good brand image in the market place, the employee morale is low in most departments i have worked with. Need to give more clarity on the career plans, and allow some flexibility in working, right now everything gets decided at the top and even middle managers are doing only execution.

Brand Manager (Former Employee) New York, NY (US)

    ProsRespects work life balance
Believes in principles like Managing with respect\
Genuinely tries to care for people

ConsBeaurocratic & slow to change. Too many people who have "always done what they are doing"
Weak HR function, not able to implement "stated" policies
You need to fend for ur self for your career & make sure you have someone that matters pitching for you. Specially as you go higher up

Advice to Senior Managementlimit time in each assignment
nurture talent, else you will be stuck with lots of avg people

    Customer Development Manager (KAM)

Customer Development Manager (KAM) (Former Employee) Stockholm, Stockholm (Sweden)

ProsIn the past, the company has been very good at move people around - both as long term expats and also on short term assignments (6 months).
The company organized lots of trainings which obviously was very valued by all staff.
Great people to work with - fantastic atmosphere at the office.

ConsNot competitive salaries (in Sweden). Too focused on cutting costs.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to better understand the limitations of the employees to avoid people leaving the company due to stress and poor work/life balance.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Good place to work if you're not a BP

Finance Trainee (Former Employee) Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic)

    ProsGreat people to work with.
You can be innovative without borders.
    They respect personal education time.
Great company... to put on your resume.

ConsSalary sucks if you're a BP, contract or temporary.
Personal growth is only available if you look for it yourself.
Management is not really there for you most of the times.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't hire BP, contract or temporary people. You're making great potential employees for OTHER companies and creating those so called "career advancement" outside of Colgate-Palmolive.
