It started off as one of the best jobs I've ever had and I still love the company.

I worked at Cox Communications full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There's never a dull moment and you definitely need to stay on your toes. From a benefits perspective they've always treated me and my family the right way and I was appropriately compensated.

    Cons

Unfortunately I feel the company as moved away from it's family owned mentality and it's become a lot more cutthroat. But I'm sure they will work through it to maintain a delicate balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget how the company became so successful - when you start changing too many things you risk spiraling out of control quickly.

    Pros

Great opportunities for advancement, continuing education, and community involvement. Fair wages with above average benefits.

    Cons

The company is still going through a lot of internal reorganization which makes for some uncertainty regarding longevity. (Although the impacted departments have typically been given decent notice and severance packages.)
