Physically demanding with dependable co-workers

Ramp Agent - Ready Reserve (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA (US)

I have been working at Delta Air Lines part-time for more than 3 years

ProsCo-workers help with pretty much everything, when necessary.
Breaks happen often and last varying amounts of time.
Pay isn't bad for a job that doesn't require a degree.

ConsHard to advance without a degree or some sort of insider helping you.
Physically difficult work, easily can end up with injuries from the consent work load.
Management varies on areas and micromanagement runs rampant with the younger managers.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrust your employees, they know what to do. Respect them they respect you, and remember many of them have been working out there for longer then we have been alive, so deserve respect because of their experience at the very least.

Great company to work for

Customer Service Agent - Ready Reserve (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA (US)

I have been working at Delta Air Lines part-time for more than 5 years

ProsDelta is not just a job, it's a career. The ability to move around and up is phenomenal. You can pretty much find a situation that suits you and if you need to relocate to another state, tha's easy too. Also the flight benefits are excellent.

ConsI don't see any cons except for lower management needs to develop better people skills when dealing with the employees. Upper management is very good at this.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you are doing. Which is staying connected to the subordinates via round tables and surveys

Welcoming, exciting and impressive interview process.

Flight Attendant (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA (US)

I have been working at Delta Air Lines full-time

ProsDelta is a career choice for many. If you are looking for a great career and can handle the work schedule you will encounter being a flight attendant, then this is for you. You must be flexible to work long and varying hours. The experience is great for many.

ConsLong hours and varying hours. Must be flexible to work days, night , weekends and especially holidays.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management is looking for flexible dependable people. They ask many situational questions, and look for consistency. They know what they are looking for. You have to prove to them you are the next Delta face even if it means you may have to reapply after being turned down. There are many people highly qualified to be the next Delta face but have been turned down once or twice and eventually have made it into the Delta team.
