    Pros

One of the few companies that always had our back ! (Retired)

    Cons

There were none with me except that surprise they did to their employees with our stocks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Still think it was extremely unethical eternally truely wrong to take away our stock .

I have been working at Delta Air Lines as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Decent pay for a college position.
Flight benefits are definitely the best part, and reason why I stayed for 3 terms
Very cool to see all the planes, etc
Learn how to work in a corporate and professional environment

    Cons

No training so its very hard to start working on things because you will now be used to the lingo (lots of acronyms)
Lots of change during my three different terms, with no clear solution or future
The 'projects' they give you are rarely rewarding
You will have ALOT of down time with nothing to do

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that you have work for Co-ops to do before you hire them
Allow other employees other than 'mentor' to give projects
Some sort of week long training would be hugely beneficial

I have been working at Delta Air Lines full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Dynamic office environment, excellent travel benefits. Great employees!

    Cons

Director level and above are similar to politicians. Too political of an environment and no longer the "Delta Family" at least at the headquarters. A lot of talk about inclusion but take a look at how many Hispanic and African American Senior VPs or Exec VPs the company presently has and you will see the truth is far from the rhetoric. Great company but with too many business culture shifts. There seems to be an "Out with the Old, In with the New" policy every two years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This applies to the majority of the management: do not lose touch with the front line personnel. Get your hands dirty by stepping out of your offices and see what is taking place in the field, not in your long drawn out mgmt meetings. Sr Execs....if you say you are a company that believes in Diversity then why does the exec leadership no reflect more African Americans and Hispanics?

I worked at Delta Air Lines full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Commitment to customers, employees and investors is reinforced daily by determined employees to provide the best experience to their passengers despite the challenges of unpredictability inherrent in this industry. I received ongoing training and support from management which allowed me to succeed in my position. I was continually given opportunities to advance. I would work at Delta again in a heart beat if I could find a position where I live currently. Delta employees are wonderful. Oh, and the benefits are fantastic.

    Cons

I moved and my office was too far to commute or I would still be working for Delta.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep listening to your employees, Keep Climbing.

I worked at Delta Air Lines full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Delta has a great culture to develop and promote people from within the organization. Top notch sales training dept, great leadership and overall awesome flight benefits.

    Cons

Compensation is on the low end. If you get steady promotions (say every 2-3 years) you always end up on the bottom end of the pay band for the position you are in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow HR compensation and managers to pay employees you promote market value salaries vs the standard 5% bump or minimum of pay band.
