I worked at Dillard's full-time for more than 5 years

ProsGreat pay with a fast paced sales environment and most customers are enjoyable. Room for growth as long as you make or exceed your quota of "sales per hour" and credit apps.

ConsDiscount is generous and great sales, but benefits are lousy with high cost for medical insurance premiums. Difficult to get promoted to management with few manager positions. Sales per hour quotas per quarter can be stressful working with sharks, and you have to be a an aggressive seller to survive.

Advice to Senior ManagementBenefit premiums should be decreased, the cost is ridiculous. Managers need to get out of their offices, and be on the sales floor more often, and supervise their staff in the department and provide additional sales training. Managers need to worry less about how many tardies an employee has, and focus on training employees how to achieve top sales for the store to survive in the future.

I have been working at Dillard's full-time for more than a year

ProsGood work/personal life balance, good pay

ConsSometimes stressful work environment trying to keep up with a high quota on the slow days

Advice to Senior ManagementWish Management would take more time to fix issues instead of "scoot them under the rug."Nobody cares about everything else you offer the company as long as you're bringing in sales.
