    Pros

Good pay for store managers, Monthly Bonus is excellent if you are even able to exceed their sales expectations. Thats it. other than making your own schedule not much is great about this company.

    Cons

Constant turnover of employees and assistant managers due to very pathetic pay and rate increase. Manager has practically little or no payroll to work with. He is expected to perform all store duties when hours are cut. Unloading trucks containing 600 plus pieces are unloaded by manager and warehouse assistant manger. constant threat and fear of being robbed. deposits are made at night my manager driving deposit to the bank, very unsafe

    Advice to Management

Better pay for associates and assistant managers. invest some money in them so we managers can have proper help and support . spend money to make money. Payroll and hours are very weak.

    Pros

The best reason to work here are the customers. Being around them made your day worth it. The work was easy though and the pay was decent for what you did.

    Cons

Terrible management that did not know how to run a store. Constantly yelling at people for the smallest of mistakes and never let cashiers even have a water bottle below their register.

    Advice to Management

Look into some of the people you have managing your locations. Very unprofessional.

    Pros

Management is flexible with scheduling. I'm currently looking for full-time employment, and with my schedule the way it is now, it allows time to schedule interviews and other appointments.

    Cons

Sometimes it can become overwhelming when you're to stock shelves, but are so busy working with customers. I feel like I get nothing done at times. I guess the end result is the customer, which is most important.

    Pros

the only thing I would say is the customer base. You will have them for life

    Cons

Nothing at all, more workload with a company that runs a 4-5% labor

rememeber..... this company pays 11% below the national average

    Advice to Management

Fire yourself and hire someone with a brain. Ten years in retail management and this is by far the worst experience Ive ever had. Very unprofessional regional staff which is always negative

    Pros

There are two Dollar Trees in my city, and I was working at the nicer one. We kept our location much nicer than the other one, and I could tell this because people were often surprised when they walked in. They also complimented us. I've heard a lot of bad reviews about Dollar Tree employees having to work through breaks without pay, but I never experienced that while I was there.

    Cons

The downside of my experience there was a schedule that changed weekly. It would have been nice to have a consistent schedule. Another downside is they only pay minimum wage, but from my experience it's an alright starter job.

    Advice to Management

Either schedule more employees or expect employees to do less on their shifts; it can get very busy and messy in the store. Sometimes it's impossible for the number of employees that are there to get everything done that needs to be done.

    Pros

Easy job, less work load and flexible schedule are the only reasons to work at Dollar Tree

    Cons

Substandard pay, inferior benefits and not a whole lot of room for personal growth and development.

    Advice to Management

Care for your employees and stop treating them unfairly.
