I have been working at Dr Pepper Snapple Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    pay is pretty good.

    Cons

any issue with customers gets dumped on the salesmen because it's easier to just have them take care of it, even if it is things out of their control like delivery or merchandising issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop sitting in your office all day reading emails and see what the salesmen go through each day. instead of just riding along with a salesman, why not actually run the route yourself to see the challenges they go through every day. also stop doing everything the cheap way, like running your staff with the bare minimum so when one person leaves the whole apple cart is upset, and for an extended period of time because you want to save money. also stop doing everything the cheap way. we are a joke compared to coke and Pepsi, such as using cardboard boxes instead of plastic shells for 20oz and 6 pks. customers are constantly complaining about this, but it's falling on deaf ears.

I worked at Dr Pepper Snapple Group full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

This company manages its finances well, which is really good for its stockholders. It is a growing company that has a lot of room for growth in the beverage market.

    Cons

This big company overworks and underpays its sales team. Year after year, the sales force is reduced, leaving the average person in sales with more brands to sell to more customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Begin to look out for your employees! Lose the Big Bureaucratic feel of the organization.

I have been working at Dr Pepper Snapple Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    I have transferred relatively easily.
    Decent pay.
    Able to climb corporate ladder.
    Decent benefits.
A lot of easy going people.
Supervisors and middle management are respectful and aware of you work performance, and acknowledge accordingly.

    Cons

You have to work hard, and deal with some rather lazy coworkers with less than common sense. Employee reviews are few and far between, and often result in a very low wage increase,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train employees better, give raises where they are due, not where they are entitled.

I have been working at Dr Pepper Snapple Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The employees are great to work with. Middle management that have been around for a while know how to work in the industry.

    Cons

The higher up management seem to spent a lot of time looking at computer screens and running reports. They are not seen in the market much, and when they are in the market they are taken to store that have been set up for show.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your employees feel appreciated. Be in the market more and offer guidance not demands. Give the people in the market on a daily basis the backing of the company.

I have been working at Dr Pepper Snapple Group as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Treat employees well, fun environment, smart colleagues

    Cons

Pay is well below the competition. IT department is so off base and so much needs to be updated and expanded. 1982 called, they want that rotary dial back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Dr Pepper Snapple Group

    Pros

New equipment , Tractors and Trailers some coworkers are excellent

    Cons

Where do I start Low pay way off scale for a major beverage company. Direct supervisor is incompetent does not listen to drivers. Thinks they know everything about driving but knows nothing. Very vindictive management. Always the drivers fault even when your right your wrong. No decent driver should consider driving for this company until they clean up and train the management team

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your drivers. You need to realize what goes on out on the road, pay drivers more, because we deserve it

    Pros

Good benefits. Fun promotions and events to be involved in. Their top brands such as Snapple are growing.

    Cons

Negative culture. Terrible management styles with no strategic direction. Management blames employees for everything but doesn't give them the tools to succeed. Poor training. Poor career development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your people more than you care about your bonus and your perception to your boss. Give your people tools to succeed.
