I worked at Echo Global Logistics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Career Growth Opportunites for those who put in the time to learn. Excellent Training before being placed into the job catagory or work team. On going training. Excellnet for new graduates as you learn about logisitcs which can propel you into other channels for continued growth.
Cons – Some burn out if you do not manage your off hours time. You have to keep yourself motivated for some of the positions.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep training employees so they can advance. You already do this and it just needs to continue.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Echo Global Logistics full-time
Pros – Corporate setting, free meals on the company, very relaxed office atmosphere
Cons – -You have to sourece your own leads and they expect you to do it outside of work, without pay of course
-The training is too short
-No scale for marking up so they give you a sense to feel a bit like a shady broker
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your staff more, don't be so aggressive, supervising is one thing, but without giving your employees the right tools to be successful the upper level managers come off as money hungry.

I have been working at Echo Global Logistics
Pros – good environment to work hard and meet people.
Cons – pay is below average for experience
Advice to Senior Management – management needs to recognize stars ealier in their career, rather than just lump everyone into the same category, and they need to pay accordingly.

I have been working at Echo Global Logistics
Pros – - Young work force. The entire office is between 22 - 30.
- Flexible hours. You can take time off when you need/want to without hassle
- Great employees
Cons – - Low starting wage
- Commission structure is designed to rip you off:
-- for accounts that are given to you, you recieve half of the commission
-- if one of your accounts defaults, they take about 23% of the loss from your check. Some accounts owe $50,000 +. (This is inspite of the fact that all accounts are insured agaiinst default. Meaning, Echo is first reimbursed by an insurance company and then recieves an additional 23% from the sales rep as profit.)
- Useless support structure:
-- getting the carrier department to assist you is like pulling teeth
-- the people who argue invoices discrepancies work against you
Advice to Senior Management – Move to a base + commission structure & recognize hard work.

Advice to Senior Management – Be prepared to cold call and sell a competitive service that is hard to sell because of the resources you are given

I have been working at Echo Global Logistics
Pros – Really good people. I never wake up dreading to go to work. Even if I have a tough day my co-workers pick me up.
Cons – If you're in sales, it's not easy at first. Once you get traction you can do very well.
Advice to Senior Management – The company seams really stable and still has a growth mentality. As long as the exec team doesn't loose that mind set, the company can continue to grow and gain market share.

I have been working at Echo Global Logistics
Pros – You will learn a lot about logistics. The trainning is very good and you will be ready to hit the floor when the time comes.
Cons – The pay could be better. The comp plan for commission could be adjusted so that you are better rewarded for your hard work.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees better. Work on comp plans. I think employees on the east coast would like to have the option to come in around 8:30.
