I worked at Edelman full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The top 5 reasons to join Edelman are:

    - Global exposure & best practices
    - Excellent Career Opportunities
    - Always attracts the world's best clients to work with
    - An Industry Paymaster
    - Employee Friendly HR Policies

Public Relations is a local business, FOR MOST AGENCIES. Edelman de-mystifies such perceptions about the business and provides an opportunity to excel and DO MORE THAN JUST MEDIA RELATIONS.

Edelman has been a world leader from quite sometime and for some very good reasons. Thanks to their outstanding HR approach, they end up attracting not just the best talent in a marketplace but also the best employees which gives you another reason to work for the firm.

    Cons

It is only a PR agency

I have been working at Edelman full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The culture is truly amazing - people are eager to help, supportive, interesting, and are good at maintaining a decent work-life balance.
People are serious about their work, but are still able to relax and hang out for happy hour when the day is over.
They also have great resources and programs in place for employees and many opportunities to grow and challenge yourself.

    Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult, and the size of the company can feel like a burden at times when there are a million people needed to approve something small.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the great work!

    I worked at Edelman full-time

    Pros

Edelman has very wide client groups so you can get to provide various PR services for clients in different industries. Trainings are very well developed and internal communication network is well set up that you can easily communicate with people outside of your country. As a SAE, I got to work on numerous high-level projects that not many people in my age would be able to. I loved the people I worked with and I truely learned a lot from this place.

    Cons

It is an agency after all. Pay isn't so great and you must cope with all kinds of clients - meaning that you might get last minute work request from clients at 17:55 on Friday night and you will be required to get back to them no matter what.

I have been working at Edelman full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you are proactive and make yourself visible there are great learning opportunities, it is like a practical college education, you learn by doing and could have the chance to do some very interesting work. Great international network and lots of available resources. Opportunities to work abroad exist.

    Cons

Work hours are long and no overtime pay, you have to give blood sweat and tears before you start getting payed at an acceptable level and if you are unlucky with management you will be stuck in the same position/salary for ages. Creativity isn't as celebrated as they claim it should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Transparency and inclusion is how your team will feel it's worth the late hours.
