I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

It is a great company to work for as it is a true global company with clients and employees all over the world. It conducts its business very professionally and ethically based on 6 core values. Its expansion in emerging markets is astronomical and its vision for the future is outstanding.

Cons

Being a big company, it has lots of policies and procedures and sometime they could be construed as too bureaucratic.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Employees are intelligent, dedicated and caring! They strive as a team for excellence in their work. The company offers top drawer benefits and a competitive compensation program.

    Cons

The company is structured by Operating Group, to Operating Unit, down to individual platform groups.
To really be of value it is very important to be a part of the Operating Group which controls the P/L, account sales and delivery, and ultimately the recognition of one's success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restructure so more personnel can be recognized for their work; and for the talents they possess which can add value to the business.

I worked at Accenture as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Very invested in the improvement of their employees and interns.

A meritocracy company that attempts to be as transparent as possible in your rating versus other employees of the same level.

While competitive, very much a team environment. Your ability to perform is much more important than your age.

    Cons

Was given continues positive feedback until last day of internship. On the last day, I was told that a job offer would not be extended to me. When requested, no specifics were given to me as to why that decision was made.

Continuous escalation of work commitment. The hours worked increased every week, there was never a week with less work than the last. Hours worked ranged from 60 hours to 90 hours towards the end of the assignment.

Most people were more interested in the salary they made than the personal satisfaction derived from their work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that consultants, managers, senior managers, and partners are on the same page when it comes to intern review and performance feedback.
