I worked at Anheuser-Busch

Pros

The people who work at Anheuser-Busch are some of the most talented and well rounded people i have meet in my professional career.
The company has a great office environment and has several in office activities to keep the work week short and enjoyable.

Cons

Union workers abound on the manufacturing floor and there is a bit of divide between hourly and salary employees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Integrate the hourly employees with the salary employees and the overall atmosphere of the plant would be greatly improved

I have been working at Anheuser-Busch

    Pros

Chance to work for a global company; beer industry is fun; free beer every month; if you like an open work environment with no frills, then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Still transitioning from old culture to new; cost cutting is too much; the main objective is to keep cash flow moving to the owners (think Carl Icahn); low employee morale; fear of what will happen to employee pay & benefits after the 3 year time limit (since the takeover) is up in November 2011 (there was a condition in the takeover that no changes could be made to salaries/benefits in first 3 years); bonus is based on some objectives out of employee's control - and mostly impossible to reach.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more consistent in your messages. You want salaries & benefits to be around 50% industry standard - which is a reduction for most employees & is contrary to the belief system of the previous ownership, but you want to be the best beer company in a better world. Much of the profit that has been made for the owners so far has been on the backs of the employees (in the form of jobs lost & wage/benefits reductions). And stop draping the American flag around the winner of a contest - it's disrespectful to the American flag.
