Pros – + Over 10,000 patents; industry leader.
+ brilliant colleagues; very global
+ strong innovation & customer-focused culture
+ great use of technology in all aspects of the company including the supporting functions
+ base and total comp are good
+ over the past 2 years there has been increased focus on leadership values and management development

Cons – - Demanding environment
- must be prepared to work hard; long hours
- shutdowns are used to meet financial targets and employees are not always given adequate notice

Advice to Senior Management – Shutdowns should not be used to meet financial targets. Must plan/forecast better to allow employees time to plan vacations as well.
