I have been working at Applied Predictive Technologies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a great place to work, no question about it. The people are motivated, hard-working, and incredibly smart. You get the opportunity to work with a number of them across teams, whether in your role or in different roles.

Coming in, new hires get a large amount of responsibility and opportunity to prove thier worth. Sometimes that comes with being thrown in the deep-end without a life-jacket, but it is often worth it. People get promoted quickly and achieve leadership roles within 4-6 years.

General amenities/compenstation/vaction are all nice and positive. Snacks, drinks, game room, all here to make sure people are comfortable.

    Cons

Can sometimes be slow moving, in that small changes need to go through a long review and implementation.

Client relationships can feel very sales-y at times, even many years in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier for junior employees to make improvements to the workplace/make discretionary decisions and purchases. Continue to emphasize improvements to the office, work/life balance, etc.

I have been working at Applied Predictive Technologies full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    * No matter how long you work here, you will be continually challenged to grow your career and contributions and given the support to do so
    * A great group of people - it's a place I'm happy to come to each and every day
    * Collaborative environment where your co-workers help at the drop of a hat
    * Relative flexibility in work hours (expected to be in the office for core hours)
    * Flat hierarchy means collaboration with all levels of employees
    * C-level execs care about keeping a great culture and work hard to react to feedback

    Cons

    * It can be challenging to strike a good life/work balance because of the incredibly driven culture
    * So much internally-grown talent = sometimes lacking in broader technical perspectives
    * No long-term flexibility in working remotely
    * Flat hierarchy sometimes means that decision making is so collaborative that it takes longer than it should - stronger leadership from the top down would sometimes be nice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    * Work hard to keep all lines of communication open as we grow
    * Continue to pursue ways to ensure life/work balance
