Current Employee – been working at Autodesk

Pros – I've worked for Autodesk for almost seven years. I worked for four other employers previously; non-profit, for-profit, Fortune 50, high-tech, no-tech, ect. This is the best of them all and I'm not thinking about leaving. Autodesk has the benefits of an established company in a fast-paced and innovative industry. It is truly a global company with equal amounts of revenue coming from AMER, EMEA and APAC. It is a good company; kind to the environment, fair to employees and contributes positively to the communities where it is located. Carl Bass, the CEO, socializes with employees, especially on a field, track or court.

Cons – Often long and odd hours; calls at 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. People get in here and stay, so you really have to impress to get ahead. Poor performers are not always dealt with so you have to work around them.

Advice to Senior Management – Find a new way to manage the street. US employees need more vacation time.
