The Autoliv experience is eye opening on how many issues this safety giant struggles with.

I have been working at Autoliv

Pros

Decent benefits, friendly co-workers, OK pay

Cons

Internal red tape often gets in the way of getting things done. Management is rarely helpful until the issue is red-hot. There is a system for everything but nobody knows where, what, why or how to use it properly. Consequently, systems are often times skirted in order to get things done. Raises are rare and barely keep up with inflation.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to how systems are working between facilities and departments. Keep processes that add value and eliminate those that do not. Design systems for the typical work flow, not for the exception.

I have been working at Autoliv

    Pros

Insurance, pay vacation and holiday pay

    Cons

too much mandatory overtime, and not giving enough time in advance ot make plans for weekend

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managment needs to let the people know, what is coming up, and give them quiality time off, quit telling employees 8 hours before weekend that they need to work, , The employee's need more time ot strech or time ot get treatment to keep from getting hurt worse, i work swing shift and do not feel i have support if we have problems at plant, there should be off shirt Manager and engineers and support people ot help with problems, if your Associates are required ot work overtime then managment should be there ot support as well

I have been working at Autoliv

    Pros

Everyone treats each other with respect, and you can listen to your iPod with one bud in your ear, except when driving a forklift or a Taylor-Dunn. The cafeteria is cheap, healthy and always ready if you forget your lunch.

    Cons

The work gets monotonous at times, because your job never changes so your doing the same thing over and over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes the language gets offensive and out-of-control when boredom gets extreme. If there was a way to keep the atmosphere respectful and positive, I would recommend it.
