I worked at BlackBerry full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

payed well in general but not for all the positions

    Cons

don't work too hard. otherwise, if got injured, you'll see the company's true ugly face. all their unfair treatment to employees done verbally, no proof to suit them

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get rid of some of HR craps and health safety craps, the company will regain strength

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at BlackBerry full-time

    Pros

If you’re a USA based employee your vacation entitlement when you first start working is excellent. It has new management with new ideas but the company still has that “small company” feel.

    Cons

If you work at one of the main locations (Waterloo, Dallas, Slough) and come in without any direct reports you might be able to progress your career by lateral movements, otherwise forget it, the company has no career progression path for you. People are leaving and there is no way to replace them because nobody wants to work for a company whose future is uncertain. More work and responsibilities for those who are left with no reward to go with it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Times might be tough but you need to keep the valuable employees else you will crash and burn for sure while the competitors takes all your skilled talent.
