I worked at DST Global Solutions

Pros

Plenty of oppurtunities to learn and take on new roles
Knowledge share between peers is excellent
Senior management empower staff
Generally good staff, though this is changing with the high number of recent departures
Good location

Cons

Remuneration is poor. The trend seems to be DST holds staff until they have enough experience to go to places that pay according to skills/experience. So, DST is great in that you will get oppurtunities earlier than other companies, just don't expect to be paid when you have built up your skills/experince.
Other real negative is the bitterness that has consumed some of the staff. Mostly those that have been at the company too long, are jaded by the money or some other issue, but can't/won't actually make the jump to a better job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Oz staff know what is wrong but can't do anything about it. They, like the rest, are in it for the ride, not to try and fix it. Looking forward to again working with the better staff once they leave...

I have been working at DST Global Solutions

    Pros

Very good products supported by an large holding company with good track record.

    Cons

The AU office is run by a bunch of people who think of it as their own private boys club and use it to fund their lifestyles of horse racing, golf and overseas trips.
The AU office has no clear management structure and none of the senior or executive managers have any leadership skills.
Forecasting is done on a whim without exact planning and strategy.
Sales are achieved mostly by luck rather than diligent work, perilously pursued by over eager salesmen who are after a quick commission.
The fact that the international head has not recognised the rot, or has done anything about it, shows the lack of transparency.
Don't bargain on anything too exciting happening

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To executive management, move on, go on pension and live of the DST shares you are given, you are holding the rest of the organisation back.
The senior managers who are there because they simply sat around long enough, become leaders or else also move on so we can get real leaders.
