Overall a nice organization to work for.

    Pros

    It is sometimes interesting to be a part of a company going thru rapid growth and expansion of its product-line. Creative problem-solving is often put to the test. DealerTrack has a generally favorable reputation in most markets.

    Cons

    Low regard for work/life balance. Health and safety issues regularly take a backseat to revenue-generating projects. The result is usually major burn-out in minimal time. Employees are expected to complete tasks for which they have received no training/lack a skill-set - think: a podiatrist being asked to perform brain surgery. The end result is a customer-base that is dissatisfied and feels its trust has been betrayed because either too many things are left incomplete or set-up totally wrong. Favoritism pretty much guides the promotion process rather than merit. There is a palpable sense of distrust between middle management and employees, resulting in a tactless, (often) disrespectful work environment that leaves the employee feeling like an 'expense' rather than an 'asset'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The company has the potential to be a major player in the dealership solutions industry...if it can find it within to fix what needs to be fixed. The 'flying by the seat of your pants' approach to business will eventually come back to haunt you later. Be honest and forthright with your customers - deliver on your promises and you will eventually 'own' the marketplace.

    Pros

    Flexibility in work schedule is great
    Tuition Reimbursement

    Cons

    No promotions where they should be
    People who work get punished for the people that don't
    Communication

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start comminucation with your employees, even if we are considered to be on the bottome, changes effect us more than you think. Act like you care about your employees (even if you don't) every change you make from procedure to relocation effects us tremendously!
