I have been working at Delta Air Lines as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

The business unit was the best unit I have had the fortune to work with.
    PMO leadership

    Cons

The most hostile working environments I have worked withinn.
When management mantra is to over allocate people to drive them hard to meet unrealistic deadlines not supported by anyone in IT, you got problems.
The shared services concept is not working well there. A Program Manager can trump or override a PMO response in the name of "getting things done" is regression.
Not very many "nice" people in IT. Very political when all I should be worried about is doing the best job I can do for my stakeholders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you have a contractor Program Manager, if the other contractors working for said Program Manager will never be heard. Create more than one source to hearing out other contractors complaints or issues. There is no clear line of sight to someone who can help in a hostile environment or when someone feels that they are being set up to fail deliberately.
