I have been working at DynCorp International full-time (more than an year)

Pros

The pay is pretty decent depending on what you do. The benefits are pretty good as well.

Cons

Excessive favortism shown to friends of management with job opportunities. Management discourages anything regarding promotions with intimidation. A lot of double standards but they are minimal in severity, just aggravating to see.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Conduct honest assessments rather than "checking the block" so hard working employees are recognized for their hard work. Also, please do away with the "good ole boy system". There is nothing more frustrating than seeing a supervisor appoint (promote) a friend instead of another qualified person.

Greed by the leadership team at the expense of the employees.

    Pros

Employees committed for achieving mission for love of country not company.

    Cons

Leadership disconnected from the people, making millions at the expense of the people. Value system is no more than wall paper. No big wins especially to replace expiring contracts. Limited growth opportunities for employees, but most importantly layoffs in the future particularly with the war coming to an end. Company invested in the international development and intel fields but with poor results. The original aviation space seems to be the only stable area for now. Leadership is arrogant and communicates rarely and poorly with the people. Employees not loyal. No question bumpy ride regardless of the course with current leadership. Company probably be"for sale" sometime soon if not already. Company thrives on wars and with the war ending, company's future looks bleak.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace leadership and get competent, unselfish and humble leaders with bigger and bolder ideas to run the company.

    Pros

The pay is amazing, for some positions and the work is incredibly easy. Just have a plan and meet your financial goals, then move on with your life.

    Cons

Inept leadership that will not hesitate to break federal regulations just to hinder you.
The money can cause some people to lose sight of their life. You will notice many people get trapped over there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire good management to replace you and then leave. You have become blinded by your pay. For every small glimmer of redemption that would come out of corporate, 10 times that would be eliminated by incompetent PMs.
