Current Employee - Advisory Senior Manager in New York, NY (US)
Current Employee - Advisory Senior Manager in New York, NY (US)

I have been working at EY full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent place to work with some of the brightest in the business, be on the leading edge of regulatory and industry events, obtain a wide breadth of knowledge about many parts of the financial services industry.

    Cons

Working on weekends and evenings is pretty much a necessity to stay caught up, becoming a generalist is a pitfall, exec mgmt tends to have great sales abilities yet are light on content (content comes from worker bees)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to specialize, understand that 'living to work' is not something everyone wants

    Recommends

Current Employee - Senior Consultant in Karāchi (Pakistan)
Current Employee - Senior Consultant in Karāchi (Pakistan)

I have been working at EY full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It has a very open door policy, the senior management is willing to teach and enhance the knowledge of the new comers, as well as experienced staff. A person can enhance his knowledge and work experience at a very good rate, this is only possible where the individual is willing to learn and make queries.

    Cons

Most of the times one is posted at a client without receiving proper training or having the required experience for the client. This causes delays and lower quality of work where you have to gain knowledge by yourself.
Lower wages as compared to market in the same position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a more structured approach to trainings and a mix of work experience and clients for new inductees, so as to enhance there professional experience.
    Increase wages and offer bonuses.
Prefer internal staff over external hired staff at positions for senior consultant and above.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
