Miss some of my people

Senior Associate (Former Employee)
San Jose, CA (US)

I worked at Ernst & Young full-time for more than 8 years

ProsThe amount of caring expressed by your co-workers. The family attitude with the weird uncle you try to understand. Sick time and leave time is very liberal. When you have a job here, you will find your niche. The pay scale ok.

ConsThe weird uncles are the elitist at the global director, Partner or AMP level. At a point you realize they are there to stroke their own egos or are too big for their own shoes. The technicians have no growth path unless someone leaves the company or they create another position. Changing the local support to the consultant role is awkward. The pay scale is very crappy. No retention for exiting technicians. The newer staff members are turning to be more jerks now. They don't understand they need to be humble and understand the support staff are not their slaves.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay your employees what they are worth. Be prepared to step in with difficult internal users that cause so much pain.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
