Current Employee – been working at ExxonMobil International full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – Pays well, opportunity for travel

Cons – Very bureaucratic and boring. Focus on process rather than product. Best to do nothing rather than do something wrong. The secret to success is to be totally hands off. Overrun with administrators and advisors. For every person doing work, there is someone watching them. Over the years they have become erratic. At one point they set long term strategies, now they seem to swing wildly. One day it's an extreme process orientation, next day, cut costs, next day security and controls.
