Current Employee - Senior Structural Engineer in Irvine, CA (US)

Pros

nice place to work when busy

Cons

cutthroat lay off process. Heavy favoratism in hiring and firing. The in-crowd never lose their jobs and don't work much. The worker staff do all the work and get laid off quickly.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review hiring and firing by dicipline managers. Your loyalty should be to the stock holders not the in-crowd.

Former Employee - Process Engineering Manager  in  Camberley, England (UK)
Former Employee - Process Engineering Manager in Camberley, England (UK)

    Pros

Large and high calibre peer group. Provides access to a great amount of technical standards and guidelines. Technical support from various centres the world over is truly amazing.

    Cons

Some of the senior staff are well-entrenched for years and seem to view new staff as threats. Group meetings of project staff are rarely held. Project work force tends to be too large and unwieldy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to bring in fresh thoughts and break up the old-fashioned heirarchical functioning.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
