Pros – Employee discounts on Gilt merchandise. Quarterly allowance to use on Gilt.

Cons – Company lacked clear focus or consistent vision. An extremely top-heavy organization, Gilt was filled with incompetent senior execs who lacked basic experience in consumer internet and ecommerce. The result was a chaotic and toxic environment where self righteous VPs made unreasonable and asinine demands that were completely unreasonable and created a series of distractions. The ratio of "talkers" to "doers" at Gilt was astonishing.
