I have been working at Heinz full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great people and brands. An opportunity to work with people who passionately believe in the quality and integrity of their products.

Cons

Expectations are set high - and you may find that the bar has been raised while you were playing the game.
Even though Heinz may be in the top 5% of food companies, expect rewards package to be middle of the road, or slightly less.

    Pros

Great brands. A lot of great people who are trying to do the right thing

    Cons

    Recent changes to bonus structure
    Recent changes to tuition repayment
    Employee morale is very low.
Many recent departures of long term employees.
Actively telling people to rate the company higher on this website
CEO has a list of personal pet projects. These projects keep getting moved forward, no matter how unprofitable, short sighted or unpopular with consumers these ideas are. There is no one at Heinz that is brave enough to mention that some of these may be terrible ideas.
At Heinz, its all about the stock price. Every decision defaults to the cheapest option.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have a work force full of motivated people who want to do the right thing. Empower them to make those decisions. Launching a product and praying for its success isn't an actual marketing strategy. We have great products, but once they're launched, there is very little support.

I have been working at Heinz full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, smart cross functional, fantastic brands, fair salaries. New and passionate North America CEO trying to do the right thing.

    Cons

Focus on short term and not appropiriately balancing long term brand building. Extreme focus on each quarter. Unrealistic goals demotivate people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Long term business building requires investment in our brands that may not pay right away and that should be O.K. Filter
