I have been working at Hertz full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Sundays off are a plus. We are only open for 3 hours on Saturdays but that is just enough to ruin your day and barely enough to make up for the gas to get there.

    Cons

Mandatory OT; low pay; lack of organization and professionalism

There is a "sell at any cost" attitude that makes you feel wrong for even hearing someone talk about it. It is a "good ol' boys" club and if you aren't part of it you go unrecognized unless you do somethign wrong. The only time anyone tried to put effort into really training me is when they were getting flack for not having any "promotions" in a long period of time.

I have worked for and with a lot of big box companies. Hertz has a total lack of communication. Everything is disorganized and the management is unprofessional. I have had the area manager gossip/complain to me about my superiors. I could write a book about why I hate this job and why people shouldn't work here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get organized, hold everyone to the same standards. Learn your employees' names and pay attention to morale.

I worked at Hertz part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fun environment, nice place to meet different people.

    Cons

Most important asset is cars and not people. Management makes false promises and does not look at all employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To treat all employees the same, and realize that from the part time to the full time employees that everyone that works for them are important
