Great place to work. It values work-life balance above all and has a good roadmap to your career, salary is debatable.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard

Pros

Work life balance, flexible time, offers good trainings and certifications, good people to work with and a lot of technical and managerial growth.

Cons

I have to say that salary can sometimes be debatable as HP offers you only the industry standard in your country so if you are in a 3rd world country even though you do the same work in a different place, sometimes do even a better job, your pay will be based on the country's industry standard.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of the talents of HP are migrating to neighboring countries that offer better compensation with same work, sometimes even lighter. I hope that our country can compensate the talents so that they would not need to look for other work outside the country as this affects social family and economic ties.

Mis-managed, no organization, no direction, no leadership, very lazy people at HP.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard

    Pros

The pay is good if you come in as a professional hire, benefits aren't too great but they offer them, you can work from home.

    Cons

Complete incompence at the top, they don't know how to run a sales organization, layoffs guaranteed every 6 months, constant reorganization, if you 'sell too much' over your quota, they will NOT pay you for what you sold, very out dated technology, they have stopped investing in research and development and have fallen way behind the competition... No raises, no training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let people be empowered to do their jobs, pay for performance, figure out an organization that works and stick to it so your reps can have relationships with their customers, invest in technology, use Siebel as it's meant to be used, no more forecast calls.

    Pros

    They always paid on time.

    Cons

Did not pay evenly to members of the same team for equal work. Out sourced US jobs to China and Israel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give back to the jobs to the Americans.
