    Proactive on issues, good compensation. Sense of direction in government procurement. Opportunities for advancement are advertised. Open door policy. Recognition of good work

    Networking could be better, mentoring. Focus on obtaining new federal business more. Provide opportunity for salary raise. Cascade the vision of company more effectively.

    Pros

    PEOPLE - The strength of the company is in the people. It's the people that makes the company tick.
    Gives a wide view of Business and allows you to move from one team to another. At least allowed you to before the hiring freeze.

    Cons

    Management does not care about the employees. They are more worried about the bottom-line and not about employee engagement. Every time there is a new CEO, they stress employee engagement as their mantra. Yeah, so much for that!! Didn't see anything that would ensure they retain top talent. Losing people doesn't help and when you lose top talent, it's even worse. The teams are never allowed to backfill and that gives more work to the remaining team members who are already doing 3 people's work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Ok, you need to get rid of excess weight but how about taking care of the loyal employees by bringing their salaries up to par There is zero motivation within the company. If you do something about it, people will still proudly say they work for Hp and not have to go about defending it.
