Pros

None, wait if you are incompetent to the core but well connected then this is the place for you

Cons

everything about the company is horrible. It can't be fixed...HP will slowly fade out completely

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the fading be done quickly.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Was once a great company - that ended in the 90's.

    Cons

Throwing good people out in a lousy economy for nothing other than greed.
A CEO who belongs in jail just moves on to a higher paying job while thousands of decent people lose their homes, can't find jobs, families torn apart.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become human. Once watched a video at work done by HP'ers and a highly ranked board member said that he thought HP was becoming a company that its employees with "callous inhumanity." That says it all for me.

    Doesn't Recommend

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Ability to work remotely.
The people I worked with on a day to day basis were terrific. They are very dedicated to providing the best service possible to their customers.

    Cons

I worked for Fortune 500 companies constantly since 1980. HP is the only company that I've ever worked for that tried to execute a layoff and Early Retirement program simultaneously. That is the very definition of a waste of resources.
Consideration for their employees and their customers is very low on HP's list of priorities.
They lay people off with no consideration of how it will impact their customers or co-workers.
It's very difficult to work for a company you have no respect for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please, for the sake of your customers, sell the Enterprise Services division to another company. Surely, no other company can do their job as poorly as HP has,

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
