I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

People were the once driving force behind this company remaining great and dynamic. They evolved and kept current because they respected their hard working people and took their suggestions and complaints seriously. Executive management was approachable and had a true 'open door' policy and welcomed constructive criticism.

    Cons

In the last 10 years executive management buckled under just like all other big companies and outsourced to third world for cost savings. Instead of reinventing and improving itself they began layoffs thinking that will save money. All that did was lose industry and employee respect. They refused to accept any ideas and targeted people who had an opinion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit laying off the hard working people and dump the ass kissers that don't add any value to the bottom line. Too many middle management layers that are not needed.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
