Pros

Great PTO plan, paid parking, and good health benefits with Cigna. Groups are organized but some can have improved communications. Shome tools for looking are data are not good at all and need a major overhall and the company just keeps promising to give us better tools but never delivers claiming budget troubles, etc.

Cons

VP level mgmt does not talk openly to the rest of staff. People do not say hello in the hall hardly ever unless they already know you. Many seem either tired, bored or over worked so maybe that is why they never say hello. Seems the culture is to go on and be busy at your desk and not get to know anyone.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being away from the common workers or base employees and get to know them by having face to face interactions.

    Pros

Good first job out of school. You’ll get exposure to general technologies, which opens up possibilities in tech sector.

Internap is a recognizable name in the industry.

    Cons

“Churn and burn” attitude with sales reps. Because of so many people coming and going, there is a tendency not to invest in anyone until they prove themselves. This makes it hard for newcomers to get traction on possible deals.

Sales leadership expects your funnel to be 20x your pipeline, which is quite unreasonable.

Not the place to be if you are a seasoned professional. Metrics driven sales environment creates a “smile and dial” atmosphere. When technologies clearly are not mature or working, the environment resembles a boiler room.

Poaching into each other’s account base is openly encouraged. If someone calls your contact and gets traction, they will be able to take your account.

“Land grab mentality” on sales teams - if you were early, then you will inherit great accounts. Very few of the top reps did this on their own.

Company desperately needs new logos, but very little help is given to sales reps who actively hunt. All the rewards go to those who can get in on the land grab early.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get an SVP who enables sales by clearing internal roadblocks. Current leadership comes across as if they’ve never used a computer sometimes.
