I worked at Jason's Deli full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Faith based company. No late nights, decent wage and you always get two days off in a row and one weekend a month.

    Cons

Advancement is limited in older markets.
Upper management tends to play favorites.
Core Values are preached to the staff, but management does not get the same from upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more fair, practice what you preach. "Core Values" should not just be preached to our employees

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Jason's Deli full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Willing to challenge and develop employees to an extent. The pay is pretty good for the industry.

    Cons

The Core Values are misleading in that they are preached, but not practiced. If you are married, have children, or are pursuing an education, this is a poor place to work. The environment itself is very unhealthy. Any shortcomings, such as abusive treatment of employees is ALWAYS overlooked in favor of PROFITS. Jason's Deli claims to be committed to values, however, those "Core Values" have very much been abandoned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either stick to your values or don't. If you want to be Wal-Mart and McDonald's then at least be honest about it. It would be wise to not limit someone's growth simply due to their religious beliefs. It is also a dangerous game to play, encouraging your managers to not really take their breaks, work while on break, and force them to cut breaks short.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
