Great Company as a whole, be careful of the individual property you choose to work for.

Front Desk Agent (Current Employee) Memphis, TN (US)

Pros- Lots of training and devlopement
- Always chances to move up within the company
- Fair wages (Location sensitive)
- Employee engagment and incentive programs (Location Sensitive)

Cons- Depending on the size of the property the General Manager can seem unreachable and out of touch with the lower level staff. (i.e non manager and executive staff)
- Can be really political in managment environment (location Sensitive)

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Disastrous

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Seattle, WA (US)

    I worked at Marriott full-time

Pros: Marriott discount... Maybe some free food. Thats pretty much it. Cons: This is a very typical starter position job. That said even for your typical starter position this one is strikingly bad. Mismanaged, understaffed, apathetic...… Advice to Senior Management: You can give it, but it will be lost within chains of command or on the deaf… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Marriott Corporate Headquarters - Used to be great place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Bethesda, MD (US)

I have been working at Marriott full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: Great place that had a friendly atmosphere, with employees dedicated to doing their best for… Cons: Marriott is now outsourcing their IT department to companies with offshore contract employees. They think it will help… Advice to Senior Management: Management needs to realize that other companies that had outsourced are now insourcing. Outsourcing really isn't going to save… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
