I have been working at Mentor Graphics

    Pros

Interesting work, interesting industry. Nice work location, nice on site amenities. Senior management tends to communicate well (though it stops there because nobody else does) Fairly good pay.

    Cons

slow drip of benefit cutbacks disheartening. Division management NEVER communicates with team. No lateral communication either, a very silo'd workplace. Success of company doesn't seem to translate down to employees.

I have been working at Mentor Graphics

    Pros

    Work/Life balance
    Decent wage
There is really nothing else that can be considered a "Pro" to working for this organization.

    Cons

    Poor management
    Poor communication
    Too political
    Frequent layoffs, no notification
Unless you're in corporate, no benefits to working there
    Too bureaucratic to be functional
Disparate systems, logins and PW to get into about 15 different sites
    Unqualified IT
    Top-heavy
    Healthcare is awful
    Travel policy
Everyone at corporate has an office but in the field you have to meet certain qualifications
    Self-admitted old-boy network

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a look at your GMs and Middle Management. Too political to get things done. Especially SDD, EMA and Webops.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
