- Lots of opportunity to develop new IP, file patents, develop really innovative products.
- Pay is very good and opportunities for advancement are high. Pay adjustments and bonuses are given twice per year.
- Benefits are very good too. 100% family premiums for health, dental, some vision, etc.
- At my site (Raleigh, NC), there's a really great gym in the building.

I worked at Qualcomm full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great management structure, supportive of innovation, provides all the resources you need to be successful, smartest coworkers I've ever had. It's a group of really smart people doing work they love with pretty much all of the resources they ask for.

    Cons

Can be high pressure, with long hours close to deadlines. Male dominated, and most of the men have stay at home wives, so being a single female who doesn't have someone to do the support stuff at home, it can get exhausting.

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Friendly people, great benefits, lots of employee programs and learning opportunities.

    Cons

Depending on your role, work can be very stressful and I know engineers who consistently put in 12 hour days and even work on weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Base promotions on performance, not length of time worked.
