I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Very stable job field, good benefits. After 1st year decent amount of time off. Flexible schedule. If not licensed offers CLS school to advance career from lab associate.

Cons

High stress, lots of overtime. Advancement can be very politically motivated.
San Juan Capistrano location is far from everywhere and down an accident prone 2 lane highway.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give back what you expect form employees, need to have better raises if you want to retain talent.

    I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Able to listen to mp3 devices while at work. Have a chance to meet interesting people at work.

    Cons

    Unless you have a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry, this is NOT the job you want to work for an extended period of time because you will get slightly above minimum wage with very slight raise per year, and with little to chance of promotion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Give all junior level employees a raise to at least $15/hour. Spent more budgets on employee's benefits and less on trivialities such as cleaning the stone tiles or making products like hats and balloons and give them out as Christmas presents. Hire better people for upper management such as Human Resources; the employees need someone who can really listen to and understand what employees need (especially junior level employees) instead of another random burreaucrat who only does what he/she or what the executives want.

    I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    good pay
    lots of bonuses and incentives
    good training
    nice employees and managers
    comfortable setting

    Cons

    set hours
    low amount of days off before termination
    lots of stress, getting yelled at by customers constantly
    take over 100 calls daily
