I have been working at Schlumberger full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    initial training was good
    potential to make good money

    Cons

working constant rotation of 3 weeks at offshore rig/ 1 week at home/office
Days at office are considered as "off days"
Too much to learn too quickly
    thrown in at deep end
Clients at rigsite take out hatred for schlumberger on you.
All other service hands hate you
    Redicoulus nanny culture
The hardest part of the job is the self imposed "schlumbeger way of doing it"
    Redicoulous amount of paperwork
If your a specialist be ready to do same job as the guy next to you for half the money

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sort out the rotations!!!! people cant work these rediculous schedules you give them!! this is why everyone leaves and your shorthanded and give the next generation worse schedules so they too will in turn leave!! break the cycle.
