Pros

Career structure: good visibility for movement, great benefits, and supportive working environment

Cons

Still running on XP, and IT is messy

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do less IT work in house. We are not experts on the subject and unless we are adding a software and hardware IT business, if we are going to be evolving on track with competition we need some expert outside support.

    I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Right balance between work and life
    Benefits are very competitive
    Good diversity of gender, race and cultures
    A lot of opportunities for career development

    Cons

    A lot of burecratic process that do not let you go faster. Process are constantly changing that people never learn how to use them. Once you get them , they change!! Leadership positions are very scarce. A lot of resource managers with no technical or product experience. They are not very helpful. They can become another roadblock.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Management needs to develop their managers also in the technical aspect of the function. Having only resources managers do not create a good work culture as they never take responsibilty of the issues their people have on the day to day work.

    Pros

    internal mobility opportunities, working with people from many different countries, nice people to work with, big MNC company.

    Cons

    IT infrastructure needs lots of improvements. Undergoing a lot of restructuring and business transformation. Average pay. No training programs offered to backoffice staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    to review the management structure, less red tape and put in place a good talent management system.
