“Shaw is a great place to work that has been dealing with a tough housing market.”
Current Employee – been working at Shaw Industries full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Big company, small town. Great values and leadership. Industry leader in service quality and, usually, cost. Growing product and geographic diversity. Due for a substantial rebound in volume after many years of sluggishness.
Cons – Too heavy on carpet products in the mix. Difficult industry economics (housing). Strong competitive challenges in base products.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep diversifying, keep a steady hand.
