I worked at Stanley Black & Decker

    Pros

Name recognition since the company has been around a long time. Some solid, well known products that consumers are familiar with.

    Cons

Incompetent managers who are promoted without any consideration for what they've actually accomplished. Poor line of communication from top to bottom. Employee layoffs are a common occurance. Morale is extremely low. Self promoters run the show and will walk on who they have to so they can look good, placing blame on others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people who work under you and take into consideration what they are saying. Improve the culture by RAISING morale. This should be a no-brainer.
