“Down to earth people and generally positive environment.”
Current Employee – been working at Suncor full-time
Pros – - No big ego's or intimidation
- The company treats people well without going overboard at the expense of productivity like some places in town
- Having a gym in the building is amazing
Cons – "Safety moments"/HR/bureaucracy can be tedious if you're more of the renegade type; that comes with the territory of big oil though and it's the same everywhere. The outsourced IT is a bit of a joke as well.
Advice to Senior Management – Get the IT situation figured out... Losing an afternoon to an IT issue is frustrating. Otherwise great work.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
