I have been working at Target full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

If you just want a job Target is great for you; however if you want a career Target is the worst possible move you can make.

    Cons

Target does not encourage forward thinkers, the "team" culture is more like a "herding" culture. Questions (I mean positive, benign ones) are discouraged, it is hard to move up, especially if you are a women and not a minority. (I am being honest not callous, these truths were very hard for me to accept I loved Target when I started this was supposed to be my dream employer).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please I beg of you if anyone in Minnesota reads this, take a look at the stores, the type of people you put in the stores to run them and change something. In my store, my STL is never there and no one knows why or where they are. My ETL-HR does not do their own work the HR-TL does and exploits their position greatly, nothing is confidential. Male TL's openly sexually harass females and it's funny - an open joke. This is not a good place to work and when we speak, we have it turned on us and have our hours taken away.
